

Nowadays, knockoffs of Victor torches & regulators seem to have taken over. IMO, I do not think Marquette welding equipment was ever a big name, and they may have gotten out of the business some years ago. I would also suggest you try the American Welding Society's bulletin board, which is similar to this format. The Marquette torch was very lightly built compared to Victor or Smith's & had some anodized aluminum parts where Victor or Smith would have used brass or bronze. I've only seen one Marquette cutting torch, and that was in 1972, & a Marquette transformer type (buzz box) AC Arc Welder in about 1978. I think it Marquette may have made the torch sets for Craftsman in the 1950's-60's.
